Planning and Zoning Commission

The Village Plan Commission consists of seven members, including the Village President, Chair of Parks and Grounds Committee, Chair of Public Works Committee, a Village Trustee, and three Citizen members appointed by the Village President and confirmed by the Village Board.

The Planning and Zoning Commission is established pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 62.23(1). The Planning and Zoning Commission makes reports and recommendations to the Village Board relating to the planning and development issues within the Village. Planning and development issues include those pertaining to the physical development of the Village, for example, land use plans, site plans, subdivision plats, certified survey maps, public infrastructure improvements, rezoning of property, proposed zoning ordinances and amendments thereto, and conditional use permits.

Zoning Board of Appeals

Five member board appointed by the Village President and confirmed by the Village Board (the Village President designates Chair)

The Zoning Board of Appeals is established pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 62.23(7)(e) for the purpose of hearing appeals of people aggrieved by a decision of the zoning administrator, and granting variances to the provisions of the Village's Zoning Ordinance

Board of Review

Notice of Board of Review for the Village of Rothschild will hold it's first meeting on Thursday June 1, 2017 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the Rothschild Village Hall.

Eight member board consisting of the Village President, Village Trustees and the Village Clerk

The Board of Review is established pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 70.46. The duties of the Board of Review are as proscribed by statute (see Wis. Stat. § 70.47), but generally consist of three primary duties: 1) adjust property assessments when they have been proven incorrect; 2) correct any errors or omissions in the description or computations found on the assessment roll; and, 3) check the assessment roll for omitted property and double assessments.
